Clinical philosophy

Conservative Care With a Defined Purpose

Dr. Besser’s approach begins with the patient’s symptoms, examination findings, functional limitations, health history, and goals. Treatment is selected to improve pain, movement, and activity tolerance—not to place every patient on the same schedule.

Progress is reassessed. As function improves, visit frequency is reduced and care transitions toward independent activity, self-management, or discharge.

When imaging, medication management, injection consultation, surgical evaluation, or another specialty is more appropriate, the reason and recommended next step are explained clearly.

“The goal is not to keep patients dependent on care. The goal is to help them understand the problem, improve function, and return to the activities that matter to them.”

How care is delivered

Clear Evaluation. Appropriate Treatment. Measured Progress.

Each visit should have a clinical purpose and a clear connection to the patient’s functional goals.

Clear Evaluation

History, movement, neurologic screening, functional testing, and careful explanation of the working diagnosis.

Appropriate Treatment

Hands-on treatment, exercise, and activity guidance selected according to examination findings and response.

Measured Progress

Changes in pain, motion, neurologic findings, activity tolerance, and functional goals guide recommendations.

Clinical Boundaries

Not every problem is a chiropractic problem. Imaging, medical co-management, and specialty referral are part of responsible conservative spine care.

Focused on Helping Patients Return to Daily Life

Dr. Besser works with patients whose symptoms affect sitting, standing, walking, lifting, sleep, work, exercise, parenting, and other daily activities. The treatment approach is practical and individualized, with emphasis on restoring useful function rather than pursuing an open-ended wellness schedule.

Patients receive an explanation of the findings, the available conservative options, and the factors that will determine whether treatment is helping.
